The name “Yangon” (ရန်ကုန်) is derived from the combination of the Burmese words yan (ရန်) and koun (ကုန်), which mean “enemies” and “run out of”, respectively. This word combination is commonly translated as “End of Strife”.
The city’s colonial era name, “Rangoon”, likely is derived from the Anglicization of the Arakanese pronunciation of “Yangon” which is [rɔ̀ɴɡʊ́ɴ].
Our first visit will be Shwedagon Pagoda which is very famous for religious destinations of Myanmar. Shwedagon Pagoda,golden stupa is the heart of Myanmar over 2500 years old. And then continue to the Chaut Htat Kyi as known as reclining Buddha. The Buddha image is 66 metres (217 ft) long, and one of the largest in Burma. The feet of the statue carved the Traditional symbols 108 marks.Lunch will be served at local resturants with delicious cuisines in Burma Kachin, Shan and Kayah. After having lunch, we will bring you to the Bogyoke Aung San Market at the centre of Yangon. You will have chance to explore the city’s largest selection of Burmese handicrafts.Our next visit will be colonial style building downtown and photo stop at City Hall , the Sule Pagoda & stroll around Mahabandoola Park’s.Heading to the Strand Hotel for a coffee break. For sunset head to Botahtaung Pagoda and Jetty, you can see the stunning views of Yangon’s river and enjoying the local lives around the area.
After enjoying sunset ,the guide will take you back to your hotel.

Your local tour guide and driver will greet and meet you up at hotel at 7:30 am in the morning. Start your Taungoo and Thantaunggyi tour and on the way to Taungoo,you will have to visit Htaukkyant local market where you will see daily ways of life, selling fresh vegetable, meat & fish and other utensils etc.
Then proceed to Taungoo and visit to Than Taung Gyi Hill in Nothen Kayin State. We will stop for lunch at Taungoo and then proceed to Than Taung Gyi which is a romatic place.Than Taung was also developed as a hill resort from Victorian times by the British.We will visit to Naw Bu Baw Prayer Mountain which is 4824 feet above sea level.Than Taung Gyi have families from Kayin tribes are still living their livelihood by coffee planting,farming and tea-leaf planting. You can see very primitive style rice mill and simple village life style.
It time permits, we will have chance to visit tea-leaf (Lahpet). There is more chance for you to get to know more about local hill-tribes as visit their home, communicate with them, experience some of their daily activities. Check in the home stay then enjoy your night.
After having breakfast in Tan Taung Gyi, you will have a rest next to beautiful stream, Pa Ti which is 19 km from Taungoo. And then we keep walking along the beautiful landscape of the stream. Then proceed to Myat Saw Nyi Naung Pagoda which is Taungoo’s grandest pilgrimage spot is situated in the centre of town, around 500 m west of the main road.
The central stupa, a standard issue bell shape, is glided and dates to 1597; local legend says an earlier stupa on the site was built centuries before and contains sacred-hair relics.Lunch break in Taungoo.
